(It also has Tamil: I don't know Tamil at all so I don't know how good the support is.)<BR/><BR/> I use a normal Qwerty keyboard, and press a certain combination which transforms the keyboard into a Hindi keyboard. After that I can type Hindi in any application. So I can write Hindi in GIMP, Firefox, OpenOffice, Thunderbird, and even programs that are proprietary like Skype. There is no intermediate translation step. I can put in हिन्दी and then English.<BR/><BR/> The convenience is awesome! I can make Hindi SVGs with Inkscape, or Hindi pdfs. The Indian teams that worked on Indic support for Free Software have done a tremendous job. Try it sometime. Just get the Live CD: you don't even have to bother installing it.
