SCO has lost. Nobody every doubted it, but it is good to see this finally put to rest. The long story short is that the court has concluded that Novell (and not SCO) is the owner of the UNIX name. Thus SCO cannot sue, because they don't own Unix. It is ironic that the work of Novell is what saved Linux. A really good day for users of Linux everywhere. Watch
this chart tomorrow, though I wonder if it can drop any further.
